Who doesn’t want to look young and healthy? I would always love to do that, hoping to be even in my 80s too ;-). But is it really possible with all these current global situations? Hmm… I guess no. Maybe we can try by changing our lifestyle a little with some healthy habits, at least now. So, it’s never too late if you start it now, also.

What are those super foods that can keep us looking young always? Are they tasty like a burger and pizza? yeah.. well.. If you like them :-). Let’s not forget that the yummy foods are not always healthy foods. But a healthy food can be made yummy by adding some ingredients like herbs, lemon and tomatoes. These are taste makers for me. But you should have your own for sure. So, try with them and for sure your food will be yummy too.

Here are the Healthy Foods for a Young and Healthy Life:

1. Broccoli, Red cabbage

Red cabbage prevents premature aging. It is a rich source of vitamin-c. It helps in keeping the skin healthy and is good for eye health. It helps to build stronger bones and also for body detoxification. That is why cabbage is good for constipation treatment. It is also a good food for healthy heart.

Broccoli is a fiber-rich food that is rich in vitamin C. This helps in keeping healthy blood vessels and thereby helping in controlling the blood pressure. So this is a good food for a healthy heart. It also reduces the formation of bad cholesterol. You can make it healthy with recipes like broccoli soup and crispy snacks.

2. Green Leafs

To stay young for a long time, green leafy foods are the best options. Some of those leafy vegetables are not tasty. They won’t show a tempting smell to eat, like mint and Coriander. But this is truly good food for a healthy heart and eyes. They are rich sources of antioxidants, vitamin A, and vitamin C. Leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, Iceberg lettuce, and many more come under this.

3. Water

Everyone knows that, water is the life of any living being on this earth. There is some exception on usage of oxygen but no exception for water. That much we need this. Most of our body parts like cells, organs and tissues contain water majorly. Our body loses so much water through our regular activities like sweating, breathing and digestion. To refill that loss and to make the body functioning as usual.. we need so much water to our body. Intake of water cleans the body and washout the free radicals.

4. Beans

Black beans, soybeans, Lentils and White beans. Major part of beans is rich in carbohydrates and next is proteins with only a little amount of Fat. These are also a very good source of dietary fiber. Most importantly, beans offer most of the vitamins and minerals required for a healthy and muscular body growth.

5. Berries:

Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, cranberry… name any other berry.. they are rich in antioxidants and they are all good sources of fiber content. A food with good fiber content helps to clean the body from inside which keeps our stomach healthy and happy.

6. Tomato:

A beautiful vegetable with rich source of antioxidants. I love tomato personally :-). It enhances the taste of any recipe. It is also great for reducing aging effects in all kinds of vegetables. Eating tomatoes will help to get rid of wrinkles. Applying tomato juice on the face gives an instant glow.

7. Fish:

Most  of us know that fish is a rich source of Omega-3 Fatty acids. These acids are very important for brain health and the health of the heart. If health of heart is good then we are good.. correct?? :-). We usually get Vitamin D only from sun light. But, you know that fact that, Fish is also a rich source of protein and Vitamin D.

8. Yogurt:

I love Yogurt. Especially, when it is homemade. Yogurt is a rich source of pro-biotics. Pro-biotics are human-friendly bacteria that are naturally found in our digestive system. Eating yogurt thus promotes more immune system and  This is a rich source of animal protein, which keeps us healthy.

9. Coffee:

A cup of coffee early in the morning brings joy to our day. When you have it with your loved one, it makes the morning conversations more beautiful and the bonds stronger. Research showed that more than joy, coffee… increases our lifespan as it is rich in antioxidant content. Taking 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day will keep heart diseases away.

10. Wine:

Many studies have shown that having 1 to 2 glasses of red wine a day benefits the heart. It is also good for maintaining healthy skin. Wine improves the skin texture. It makes the skin look younger because it is rich in antioxidants. These antioxidants get absorbed during its preparation. If you are fond of alcohol.. replace that in your menu with wine.. which is also having a little quantity of alcohol which is less than the normal hot drinks.
